Biography

Simon Keßler was born in Tübingen in 1988 and grew up there.

After volunteering for a year at a center for addicts and homeless people in Amsterdam, he studied law from 2008 to 2013 at Humboldt University in Berlin and at Trinity College in Dublin.

He then worked as a research assistant at the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in the field of antitrust and state aid law. During his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal from 2014 to 2016, he became more interested in criminal law, which is why he completed both his legal clerkship and his elective station with various Berlin criminal defense attorneys.

After his second state examination, he initially worked in the Berlin office of White & Case LLP in the area of commercial criminal law / compliance / internal investigations. He has been a member of DANCKERT BÄRLEIN & PARTNER since January 2018, and a partner since January 2023. He has also held the title “Specialist Lawyer in Criminal Law” since 2022.
